This is the end result of a carefully crafted protocol which first removes the pain associated with traumatic images and sensory memories, then replaces them with positive, life affirming images and impressions.  You will still know the facts about what happened - but they will no longer bother you in the way they used to, since they will no longer be associated with painful memories.

"Keep the knowledge, lose the pain!"
